We are looking forward to 4 days of West Coast Swing in Beethoven's city of birth: Bonn. Our event »Symphony Swing« has been standing on the dancefloor since 2017 for a sympathetic and warm atmosphere. Following the successes of recent years, we would like to invite you to Bonn in August 2023 for the fifth time in a row.
Experience a pure social event without any competitions and competitive manners. We will enjoy a weekend together, where we learn from top teachers and get lots of fresh ideas and experiences. All this takes place in the relaxed and familiar atmosphere of the dancing schools Lepehne Herbst, together with the hosts Miriam and Gill.

Browly lived and travelled widely in Africa and Europe before coming to study engineering in France in 1998.
As far as he can remember, he has always loved dancing and moving his soul to music, whether it’s solo or with others.
During his studies, he started dancing Salsa after school and within two years started teaching for a club in Strasbourg.
He continued dancing and teaching Salsa after his studies.Although, he came across West Coast Swing in 2008, it is only during the winter of 2010, that he fell in love with this dance.
He could finally fully express what different music styles inspired him. Shortly after, he met Melanie Stocker, with whom he partnered to start teaching and decided to put a hold on his former job to fully embrace this dance .
Thus, began this new adventure with west coast swing: traveling in France and all over Europe, going to many West Coast Swing events, taking workshops, private lessons and intensive courses with some of the best known and most respected teachers of the dance.
He’s dedicated himself to learning more about West Coast Swing (its history, its basics, the different techniques taught and its evolution) as well as learning how to teach it.
More than the theory though, it is about understanding what you do and how you do it, testing whatever you learn or find out on your own during your dance journey.
Today, making his way in the West Coast Swing community with hard work, perseverance and humility, Browly is not only known for his competition results that brought him to the « All-Star » division and his undeniable social dancing skills.
He is also known for his teaching, as a professional whose pedagogy is well appreciated in his workshops or private lessons. He is clear and logical in technique classes and students love how he approaches musical interpretation in the dance.
Creating a joyful atmosphere, he not only passes on technique in a simple, efficient way, but also passes on his strong values of respect for partner, and enjoying the dance. Breaking down « complicated concepts » into simple ideas with fun exercises makes it easier for students to communicate in the dance.
« Dancing is for me just another form of communication. You need to understand the words expressed through bodies to create and connect a great conversation ».

2010 entdeckte Marc seine Leidenschaft an West Coast Swing. Mittlerweile ist er regelmäßig als gern gesehener Dozent und Wertungsrichter in Sachen West Coast Swing international unterwegs.
Er betreut West Coast Swing Tanzreisen, unterrichtet in Tanzclubs und anderen Tanzschulen und bildet im Auftrag des TNW auch Tanzsportler und Jugendleiter im Bereich WCS aus.
Marc absolvierte erfolgreich die Ausbildungen zum WCS Fachtanzlehrer von GSDTA by Skippy Blair und zertifizierter Master Instructor WCS von Global PDIA by Michael Kiehm.
Somit ist er einer der ersten Absolventen der Ausbildungen nach den Richtlinien von GSDTA by Skippy Blair & Global PDIA in WCS.
Zusätzlich hat er die Master Instructor Ausbildung erfolgreich bestanden. Diese bevollmächtigt ihn Lehrer in WCS der Klassen Basic, Indermediate, Advanced und Master auszubilden.

2010 startete Giulia ganz traditionell mit einem Standard & Latein Kurs ihre tänzerische Karriere. Schnell entdeckte sie ihre Leidenschaft und ihr Talent für Salsa. Sie assistierte auf internationalen Festivals namhaften Dozenten wie Farid Ferchach und Supermario und steigerte schnell ihr Niveau.
Im Jahr 2014 kam West Coast Swing dazu. Erste Turniererfolge stellten sich ein und prompt hatte sie das Fieber gepackt. Giulia trainiert intensiv und stetig; mittlerweile gehört sie zu den erfolgreichsten West Coast Swing Tänzerinnen in Deutschland. 2015 war
»ihr Jahr«: Erfolgreich absolvierte sie die Ausbildung zum WCS Academy und Global PDIA Intermediate Instructor. Es folgten unzählige Finalplätze bei internationalen WSDC Turnieren. Eine eigene Routine mit Marc wurde einstudiert und als Krönung im Rising Star Turnier der US Open präsentiert. Mittlerweile unterrichtet sie auf vielen nationalen und internationalen Events und wertet und betreut diverse Jack and Jill Turniere.

Stella begann ihre tänzerische Laufbahn mit 14 Jahren mit Standard/Latein. Was vorerst als sportlicher Ausgleich zu ihrem klassischen Musikstudium gedacht war, entpuppte sich schnell zur großen Leidenschaft. 2015 stößt sie erstmals auf West Coast Swing und ist seither ganz in ihrem Element angekommen.
Es folgten europaweite Teilnahmen an Festivals, Workshops und Wettbewerben sowie die WCS-Academy Ausbildung «Advanced» bei Marc Heldt. Stella unterrichtet West Coast Swing in Wien und Innsbruck, ist Gründerin einer eigenen WCS-Band («Honey String») und tanzt regelmäßig Wettbewerbe auf internationalen Events.

Seine ersten Erfahrungen sammelte er mit 14 Jahren in einem Standard und Latein Jugendkurs. Von da an ging es innerhalb von 3 Jahren durch die verschiedenen Kurse bis zum Assistenten in der Tanzschule. Im Alter von 18 Jahren begann er die VTÖ-Tanzlehrer Ausbildung welche er 3 Jahre später erfolgreich abschloss.
Im Sommer 2015 entdecke Christopher West Coast Swing für sich. Nach kurzer Zeit war ein WCS-Event im Monat schon fast Pflicht. Es folgte die GPDIA-Advanced-Trainer Ausbildung bei Marc Heldt, was dazu führte, dass er gemeinsam mit Stella Maria Schletterer seit Anfang 2017 sechs wöchentliche Klassen in Wien unterrichtet.

Gill:
Seit ihrem zweiten Lebensjahr steht Gill nun schon regelmäßig in der Tanzschule auf dem Parkett.
Was mit Kindertanz anfing, entwickelte sich schnell in eine große Leidenschaft. Mit 8 Jahren nahm sie das erste Mal im Bereich Videoclipdance an Wettkämpfen und Meisterschaften teil.
Ab ihrem 14. Lebensjahr tanzte sie Standard/Latein gemeinsam mit ihrem Tanzpartner Christian Brinkmann. Die beiden erreichten etliche Finalplätze auf Deutschlands größten Turnieren, waren feste Kadermitglieder und gewannen gleich 2x die Landesmeisterschaft in NRW.
In ihrer Ausbildung zur ADTV Tanzlehrerin entdeckte Gill dann den Tanz 'West Coast Swing' für sich und ist seitdem regelmäßig auf nationalen und internationalen Events unterwegs.

„I was introduced to West Coast Swing in the intensive course by Ádám Balásy and Rita Jóri, in 2009. I am lucky enough to be part of the first and only West Coast Swing team formation, the Swingshot formation. We performed in numerous places all around the country, as well as participated in modern- and showdance with gold qualification and special award.
In West Coast Swing I have found what I’ve been unconsciously seeking, a dance that can be done for almost all genres of music. This dance is the modeling of real life for me, where you have to obey some easy basic rules, and you can do, create anything, beyond imagination. Nothing is impossible. I had the opportunity to participate in many international events (French Open, UK&European WCS Championships, BudaFest, Midland Swing, Warsaw Halloween Swing, Swingtzerland and many more) where I could learn from the best US and European pros (e.g. Jordan Frisbee, Benji Schwimmer, Maxence Martin, Browly Adjavon).
In the meantime I started teaching the dance love of my life too. I started with giving private classes to people who trusted me enough in the early times, and also I was asked to substitute teachers in their absence in group classes in different schools. I am teaching regular weekly classes in Hungary and Austria, two days a week, giving privates on demand and also closely coaching motivated dancers.
As time passed by I had the honor to also teach abroad, visit new countries, meeting motivated and motivating students in Ukraine, Czech Republic, Israel, Germany, the beautiful and undiscovered Belarus, the sunny California.
I am really happy that the Hungarian and European West Coast Swing are growing at a quick pace. It is a joy to be able to spread the word of this beautiful thing, introducing more and more people to the dance of their lives.”

Miriam Neumann wurde 1980 in Bonn geboren und ist seit über 30 Jahren mit dem Thema Tanz verbunden. Ab dem Alter von 6 Jahren war die Ballettschule, als Jugendliche dann die Tanzschule ihr zu Hause. Nach dem Abitur absolvierte sie die Ausbildung zur ADTV Tanzlehrerin im Anschluss studierte sie berufsbegleitend Betriebswirtschaft. Die Weiterbildung zur Fachtanzlehrerin für West-Coast-Swing Level 3 im ADTV und zur GPDIA Instructorin im World Swing Dance Council schaffte die Grundlage für ihre heutige Tätigkeit als Referentin.
Mit Gillian Kespohl unterrichtet sie zusammen seit 2016 West Coast Swing. Die beiden touren durch ganz Deutschland und werden mittlerweile sowohl für Kongresse (internationaler Tanzlehrerkongress - INTAKO, Euro Dance Festival - EDF), Festivals (Swingmany, West Coast Spring) als auch für Workshopwochenenden in Clubs und Tanzschulen gebucht.
Als Geschäftsführerin der Tanzschule Lepehne und Herbst in Bonn beschäftigt Miriam sich seit Jahren intensiv mit der strukturellen und methodischen Weiterentwicklung von tänzerischen und pädagogischen Inhalten und Prozessen.
